The Psychiatry Student Interest Group (PSIG) is the hub for aspiring psychiatrists and a beacon of advocacy aimed at every stakeholder of a patient’s life. With board members inaugurated after ensuring their experience in the field, their philanthropic passion in expanding the group’s purpose, and the subsequent collective goal of making the experience an unforgettable one for the members and audience alike, PSIG holds promise in inspiring medical students to explore this ever-growing field, raising awareness about mental illness, patient diversity, and the demand for psychiatrists.

It also remains to be mindful in fostering networking, interdisciplinary collaboration, mentorship, and community building for evidence-based mental health practices. But achieving this becomes plausible only with the joint alliance of its four subteams: Awareness, fostering understanding of mental health; Training and Development, guiding students into psychiatry careers; Research, facilitating research collaborations; and Public Relations, connecting PSIG with its audience through social media and event coverage

With all hands in, and feet steps ahead, PSIG takes oath in abiding by its precepts, to uphold and withstand its duty to its audience while ensuring an amusing journey to all its members
